Douglas Ladore, of California, decided to sue Sony over their use of the words “full HD”. During the course of the lawsuit, it was confirmed that Sony had indeed used tech to make all of the game Killshot look like it was all in full HD when in fact it was not. This is not the first time a gaming company was sued over such a matter. Sega was sued for basically the same thing over their game Aliens Colonial Marines. Sony maintains that since the game gives the appearance of being “full HD” that they did not engage in “false advertising”. Is Sony right? Did they stay within the law? Or is Mr. Ladore correct that just because something appears to be something doesn’t mean it is? If you buy something from a company then you should get exactly what was promised. Kudos to Mr. Ladore for calling Sony out on their false advertising.
